　　为了做好指纹提取程序的准备工作，从2007年10月22日起，至10月24日，英国驻华大使馆/领事馆在北京、上海、广州，重庆的签证处，包括全中国各地的英国签证中心都将暂停办公。

　　为避免给您的工作带来不便，请提前做好安排，烦请专告给各位相关的同事。

Dear ALL

This is to advise you that from Monday 22nd October until Wednesday 24th October inclusive the British Embassy Visa Sections in Beijing/ Shanghai/ Guangzhou and Chongqing will be closed to allow for the implementation of biometrics. Please note that the Visa Application Centres across China will also be closed.

I hope that you have now received you invitation to the stakeholder event on 15th October at the new Beijing Visa Application Centre. Please let me know if you have not received an invitation.
